Day in the Life

Here's a typical day in our world these days....

6:00-6:30am- Sophie "rises and shines". Sophie nurses and then PLAY PLAY PLAY!! I call my mom (she's the only one that's up that early!!). music time with the guitar (when we're feeling unusually peppy)

8:30am--Sophie's b-fast solids (still will only eat pureed food...does NOT like any lumps!)
9:00am- Nap time. (I usually collapse back in bed)

10:30ish--Sophie wakes up (more nursing) and then we go out for an outing somewhere...playdate with a friend, groceries, errands, picnic, PLAY PLAY PLAY, etc....

1:30ish--Sophie's lunch solids
2:00ish--Sophie's second nap

3:30ish--Wake up, nurse and another outing (see above or a swim at our local pool)

5:30pm- Sophie's dinner solids
6:00pm- Post-dinner stroll in the backpack (to try and fill that awkward space where we've already read every book 17 times, played with every toy, and are both generally tired and grumpy!)
6:30pm- bathtime (a highlight for the girl....Sophie becomes my little slippery sausage in the tub!)
7:00pm-nursing tank-up for the night, storytime, songtime
7:30pm- BEDTIME!!

That's a day in our life!! It's hilarious how well Sophie now knows her schedule. 2 months ago we had NO semblance of a routine. Now Sophie knows her bedtime routine, when she's going to be nursed, and even that Goodnight Moon is her last book before bedtime. "Goodnight stars, good night air, goodnight noises everywhere."

P.S. Picture taken at Auntie Katie's eating some delicious squash.

I'm tagging Melody, Colleen and Meg to tell us about a 'typical day in their life'!!
