This gloriously beautiful afternoon our family went for a walk. We are lucky to live near a great area of organic/naturopathic stores so we popped over to get a few groceries. I checked out the baked goods area, and decided to buy Sophie a yummy organic oatmeal cookie. Usually anything that's baked goods-esque involves dairy and eggs, but not at this store!! They had lots of dairy/egg free homeade treats, so we got one.
WELL--our little girl was absolutely thrilled with the idea! She had never had a cookie to date, and was very impressed. She was quiet as a mouse in the backpack, munching away quietly...her nose running, drool a plenty and oatmeal remnants dropping---perfect!! I loved watching her savour and enjoy her treat. Going for a walk and eating a cookie---simple pleasures.
