We had a wonderful visit for the last week in July to the end of the long weekend in August with Sophie's cousin Lucy. We were all prepared for the Christopher annual canoe trip, but it was rained out, so we spent a glorious week together at the cottage.
A typical day began with playing on the veranda with various toys and books. Breakfast then the beach for the morning. Lunch (it's all about eating at the cottage!) then naptime for the girls, followed by more beach. Then came dinner, then bath and bed.
I was impressed with how well they played together (or should I say parallel played). Yes, there were mo
ments of 'Lord of the Flies', but for the most part they both did a great job. It will be so neat to watch these cousins grow up together, and watch their relationship change and evolve as they grow.
