Day 2-The Katester Flies In

A great day. Back on my feet. Have gotten used to the new space and the kids seem to be getting over their cold.

Dropped Brett off at work then were heading to the park/beach. On the way Sophie spotted a smaller park and asked to go there. It was PERFECT, because it was much smaller, there was nobody there, and so the kids could roam free. We had a great time being silly and having fun together. After an hour or so and some threatening weather we decided to head to the library.

And what a library it was. A fantastic place with so much going on for kids! Sophie played alphabet computer games, Clara read books in the castle, Clara drew on huge brown paper covering tables and I breathed a sigh of relief to be in such a kid-friendly environment!

We got home and had a visitor! Auntie Katie arrived shortly after noon. WAHOOO!!!! Clara had a long nap while we visited, and did some painting projects (with Soph). When Clara woke up we had an early dinner, picked up Brett and headed to the beach.

It was a bit of a flop because Soph hadn't napped and was pretty exhausted. We headed for home, and then ended the day with chocolate frosty's for the grownups. Mmmmmmm.
